Labels & Stickers Use vinegar to remove stickers & labels off glassware & china. Silver & Stainless Steel Cleaner Make a paste using water & baking soda. Apply using a soft bristled toothbrush. Scratched Glasses Polish with toothpaste using a soft cloth. Sparkly Glass Rinse Rinse glasses in water & vinegar. Dishwasher Rinse Pour 1 cup of white vinegar into the rinse compartment of your dishwasher. Use with your normal dishwashing cycle. Baked on Pots & Pans Soak the item in a solution of 1 - 2 tbs baking soda to 1 cup of water. OR Boil the above solution in the pot. Let stand until the bits loosen. Oven Cleaner Spray your oven with water & then sprinkle baking soda over it. Allow to sit for several minutes (some leave overnight) and then rub gently with a fine scourer. Fridge Cleaner Wipe out with a solution of 2 tbs baking soda & 1 cup of water. Fridge Freshener After washing out your fridge, wipe down with a soft cloth dabbed with vanilla essence. OR Place 2 slices of bread in the fridge to absorb the odours. Microwave Cleaner & freshener Mix 2 - 3 tbs baking soda with 1 cup of water. Boil in the microwave for 2 minutes, then wipe down the inside with a cloth. Coffee & Tea Stains Rub using a paste made with water & baking soda. Garbage Disposal Cleaner 1 Grind up some ice & a lemon through the unit. Garbage Disposal Cleaner 2 1/2 cup Baking Soda, 1 cup Vinegar, 1 litre Boiling Water. Pour in the baking soda & then the vinegar. Leave for 5 minutes then pour in the water. Cockroaches Mix 1/2 cup boric acid with 1/2 cup of flour or sugar. Sprinkle behind the fridge & at the back of cupboards.
